The textile sector embraces a new cutting edge technique, which has been patented and registered SHEARING GREEN DESIGN®. It is a brand-new, innovative and eco-friendly method to design on, not only synthetic pile fabrics but also natural fabrics such as velvet, wool, towel, fur and fleece. The added value of SHEARING GREEN DESIGN® (SGD) lies in its method of execution. In fact, the mechanical action of shearing removes the pile permanently, enhancing the three-dimensionality of the material, and therefore the design, without compromising the softness of the textile. The distinctive feature of SHEARING GREEN DESIGN® is the lack of limitations for the design ratio. It is possible to have a full field design (1500 x 1500 mm), an all-over design or positioned pattern. This provides unlimited possibilities to create an interplay of light and shade.
